We specialize in turning dreams into summits. Based at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, our company was born from a deep love for nature, Tanzanian culture, and a passion for sharing one of the world’s most iconic adventures with travelers from around the globe.
Who We Are
Kilimanjaro Rote is a proudly Tanzanian-owned and operated trekking company. Our team is made up of certified mountain guides, experienced porters, and a dedicated support crew – all committed to helping you experience a safe, meaningful, and unforgettable journey to the top of Africa.
Our company is based in Moshi town, the heart of Kilimanjaro trekking. This vibrant town sits right in the shadow of the mountain, and about 85% of its people work in the Kilimanjaro hiking industry. That means we’re perfectly positioned to organize your trip locally and efficiently
What We Offer
We provide fully guided climbs with English-speaking guides. If you prefer a guide who speaks French, German, Spanish, or Italian, just let us know in advance – we’ll happily arrange it for you.
We operate on all official Kilimanjaro routes, from the scenic Machame Route to the less-traveled Rongai and Lemosho Trails. Every expedition is carefully crafted to maximize safety, enhance acclimatization, and increase your chances of reaching the summit.
From the moment you contact us, we’re here to help – recommending the best route and number of days based on your goals, fitness level, and travel schedule. Our mission is to help every single climber reach the summit and return safely, with memories that last a lifetime.
Beyond the Climb
We also offer customized itineraries and cultural experiences around Moshi. Visit Materuni Village with its beautiful waterfall and traditional coffee tour, or unwind in the warm, clear waters of the Kikuletwa Hot Springs – a perfect way to relax after your adventure.
